Creating Supportive, Nurturing Environments
Special Instruction Services partnering with the CDSA (Children's Developmental Services Agency)
At K.I.D.S., our Early Intervention Services are designed to support families and their children from birth up to three years old who have developmental delays. This critical period offers a unique opportunity to positively influence a child’s development and learning. Our program focuses on creating customized learning environments and activities that promote skill acquisition across cognitive, emotional, motor, communication, social and adaptive areas.
We work with your child as a whole child, focusing on many areas of development at once through play. We teach parents and educators specific activities to incorporate into your everyday routine, such as when your little one is eating, bathing or getting dressed! Tiny steps that add only a minute or two to your routine making a substantial impact in your child’s development!
Key Features of Our Early Intervention Services
Individualized Family Service Plan: Your Child Services Coordinator through the CDSA will create and Individualized Family Service Plan with specific goals to meet your child’s developmental needs. The Pediatric Developmental Specialists with KIDS will work with your child and family weekly, developing strategies to incorporate into your natural routine!
Benefits of Early Intervention
Family Empowerment: By incorporating a coaching model, we empower families with the information, skills, and support needed to enhance their child's development and strengthen the bond between the parent and child.
Comprehensive Development: Our services cover all developmental areas, ensuring holistic growth for each child. For example, through this approach we are able to enhance communication skills while also working on attention to task and executive functioning.
Home and Childcare Integration: Services are provided in the child's home and/or Childcare setting, bridging the gap between these environments for consistent development.
